Service checklist


To judge how well your organisation is doing with customer service and integrating it into the overall corporate culture, ask yourself the following questions:

1. Can your staff relate your company vision and strategy in their daily role?

2. Do your staff understand their role in providing excellent service?

3. Are your staff motivated to want to give excellent service?

4. Do you have a method to identify individual and team training and development
    needs?

5. Is training part of your culture – a need rather than a nice to have?

6. Do you tend to have one-off training rather than a long term strategy for your staff to
    develop their skills?

7. Do you follow-up training to ensure learning has been bedded in?

8. Is the whole of your company focused towards Customer Service or is it just the
    Customer Service department?

9. Are you confident that your customer facing staff have all the skills required to
    provide a positive service experience for your customers?

10. Are you confident that every department who touches the customer is providing a
     consistent service experience?
